Behold the beauty

It's finally September and I'm counting down the days until our wedding day! This month is filled to the brim with weddings and I'm so glad to be a part of all my couples' days. But with that said, I'm quite busy editing wedding galleries and prepping for my own wedding. So this month's blog is about a vendor open house I attended.

I finally can cross Greencrest Manor & The Millhaven off of my dream photography locations bucket list! What a dream it was to be able to experience the beauty of it. I discovered Greencrest while looking at venues for my own wedding and immediately put it on my location bucket list- while it's a dream, it was just outside of our budget for our own wedding. Luckily, I caught a post on Instagram about hosting a vendor open house for their new sister property: The Millhaven. I quickly signed up and got an official invitation to attend.

As soon as I pulled into Greencrest, I knew it was special. The vintage beauty of it was breath-taking and the outdoor facilities were beautiful. We spent an hour walking the grounds (and I still didn't see everything) before making our way over to The Millhaven. The Millhaven is host to 2 new events centers: the greenhouse and their larger facility. It's not 100% complete yet but I already know it'll be beautiful!

The only downsides to that day were lack of AC in The Millhaven and lack of models. It had been advertised that there would be a styled shoots and models at this event, but they only had 2 for a very short window of time (due to the heat and lack of AC). Also, there were only 2 models for 200 vendors. Can you imagine how busy that was? But, despite that it was so good to connect with others in the industry. I met florists, djs, planners, content creators, and more! I'm always looking for more connections in this industry, so I quite enjoyed meeting other creatives. Plus, it's fun to be able to say "hey I know a guy" to your wedding couples!
