Well it's official, I'm an Eovaldi

That's right- my wedding day FINALLY came around and I got married to my best friend. I just got back in office and working on catching up on all correspondences. I appreciate all your patience as I catch up!

I promise to share more about my wedding day soon, but in the mean time I wanted to write about a workshop I attended at Castle Farms in Charlevoix. Castle Farms is a beautiful venue to get married at- it's a gorgeous castle with stone walls, gardens, fountains, and more. Attending a workshop at this location was a dream for me! The workshop was centered around Off Camera Flash- a type of lighting set up. I had never used OCF before, I just typically use the one I attach to my camera so this was a cool experience to test and learn some new things. I also went with some girlfriends and we spent the day in downtown just walking, talking, & being together. We're all spread across the state so it's always nice when we're able to come together and collaborate at events.

While I don't think I'll be adapting to this style of darker, moody photography, it was awesome to be able to play around. It just doesn't feel natural to me as beautiful as it can be. I also threw in some fun ones of us in downtown Charlevoix & at the lake. It was my first time going to a beach on that side of the state and I'm in love! The beaches in Port Huron (while beautiful) are rocky, but the ones near Charlevoix are all sand. I got so excited that I hopped in while wearing my pants and I have no regrets!
